Nation Savings Microfinance Co. Ltd (NASAM) is one of the leading registered Microfinance Institution in the Republic of South Sudan. It was incorporated on 29th September 2020 in accordance with the provision of South Sudan Companies Act 2012.

Nation Savings Microfinance Co. Ltd provides the best range of services which includes savings, lending, money transfers and financial literacy to the people of South Sudan who do not have access to financial services from the commercial banks and other financial institutions in the country. NASAM focuses on Client satisfaction by offering high value of services. All products and services are competitively priced and customer services are one of the best amongst the microfinance institutions in South Sudan. The company serves its customers through 5 branch networks spread in Central Equatoria and Lakes State.

Objectives

  • Acceptance of various types of deposits including saving time targets and demands from individuals groups and association.
  • Provision of credit (loans) to its customers, including formal and informal self help groups, individuals and association loans especially for farmers and women groups.
  • Promotion and monitoring of loan usage among the customer by proving ancillary capacity building in the areas such as record keeping financial literacy and small business management
  • Provision of employment opportunities which will improve the economic and social conditions of young generations and their households
  • Pay and receive interests as may be agreed upon between NASAM and the clients

Strategy

The focus for the next five years will be growth that will mainly come from consolidation and increase penetration within the target market segments for NASAM core product lines as stated below:

  • Obtaining more long-term loan funds from various lenders to finance portfolio growth and have diversified source of funding 
  • Ploughing back bigger  portion of profits to finance portfolio growth 
  • Acquiring a centralized software package to enable NASAM provides network banking to its clients and move to the next level.
  • Research, product innovations and modifications of the existing products and services so that they are more tailored and custom designed to fit the ever changing needs and requirements of NASAM clientele.
  • Training staff to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
